Will a lighter silencer help drop?

I've been running a Dead Air Sandman-S for years on various guns and have noticed mild drop with the can. But then I put it on a Steyr AUG and it was massive. So I'm wondering if swapping to a lighter can, dead air claims 17.7oz (I assume without the muzzle device) and Griffin Dual-lok 7 is 12.6oz (unclear if that's with the muzzle device). Will 5oz less at the muzzle be significant to drop or am I chasing unicorns? Yes I could get a lighter can either direct thread or all Ti but I'm not made of money and it's a requirement that I be able to swap it from gun to gun.
