AAC Mirage or new AAC can?

There is an AAC Mirage for sale on the Sturmgewehr site. It looks like a Colt/Knights product that Autoweapons has advertized at 5k. He wants 900 dollars for the Mirage. Is this a good price? I am thinking of buying it but have I don't know much about these. Would I be better off just getting a Colt upper and buying a AAC product with up to date technology?

I have one. I have not shot it. I would not worry about the up to date part. It is up to date enough. You should PM Kevin and ask him how good they are.

Yeah, if that's Jim Ryan. He designed how it goes together. He and I did all of it, pretty much. He's a good guy. Gemtech's innovation left with him and they've been playing catch-up ever since.

I met both Jim and Mark back when they owned TacOrd and I visited their shop. They were both knowledgeable guys. I own several of their cans and have been happy with them.

I always did like the look of the AAC Mirage, thought it was a pretty cool idea.
