Ruger Mark III Mag pouches

Post by Casper »

Battlecloth,

I just got referred to you based on a post I did (viewtopic.php?p=389629#389629) looking for ideas on where I might be able to find mag pouches for 8 to 10 Ruger Mark III mags.

I am not finding much out there on the market so I thought I would see if this would be something you might be able to custom make?

Please let me know if this is a project you think would be worth while.

Thank you.

Could you do a pouch for a YHM Cobra M2 (1.375OD X 8L) with a little side pouch to hold a threaded barrel (5.5" 1911)?
Somewhere for a small F4 copy would be nice.

Just tagging for when I get my approval back. Hopefully in a week or so. Really nice stuff! I will be looking for a Ruger Mk III and suppressor holster. Are these MOLLY compatable? Do you have any pics of different options?

Kevin, Robert is correct, I have no interest in Nomex. Just out of curiosity, where exactly would you carry a pouch with a 700 degree can in it? I'm aware of the recent military requirment for that and am wondering if you had any first hand knowledge of how the military planned on using such a thing.

Thanks,
Steve

The only thing I can think of is because so many suppressors are in service now (active duty) you could use a Nomex one to place over a white hot can in a malfunction situation and remove the can while not being burned or melting your pouch.

I suppose, but consider the fact that the pouch is mounted to your gear (because you're using it to carry the can, right?). Are you going to stop what you're doing in a crisis, remove the pouch (not a quick thing to do with MOLLE) and then try to remove the can?

Bear in mind that Nomex is a fabric designed to survive flash burns, not act as a barrier to heat. Even if you were able to get the can off the gun, at that point you're only real option is to drop the thing and get back to business. That being the case, the government would be much better served by issuing an oven mitt with the suppressor, rather then a “high temperatureâ€

I like your SWR Trident Case.
I need one for my MultiMount, vut also need a rifle suppressor pouch.

Can you do the rifle pouch, and this pistol pouch, with the two pockets between them?
Shoot softly, and carry a big clip.

I thought I'd post what Battlecloth made me:

A pouch for my rifle suppressor, pistol suppressor, and 2 small pouches for the various mounts and pistons, and Trinity Tool for the pistol can.

I had him make the pouches a tad oversized so I could use my YHM heat-resistant drawstring pouch between a hot can and the carrying case.

I also had him make a clip-on neck strap, so I can keep my cans with me when I go downrange.

It is very handy, and well made.
