NT4 QD Flash Hider Question

Post by Predator »

I'm sure this has been asked a lot, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere so I figured I'd just ask myself. Sorry if this is a newbie question that you get a lot!

Anyway I am trying to find out if the current production KAC QD Flash Hider is long enough to bring a Colt 14.5" M4 barrel to 16" if pinned?

TIA!

From what I understand, if you use the proper amount of shims and pin the flash hider it will bring the OAL to 16".

The flash hider alone will not be sufficient.

correct, if it were me i would have the smith make a custom shim. because it will take a few to make it long enough

You can use a crush washer and some shims to make it long enough to be blind pinned in place.

I wouldn't do it this way if you want to mount the NT4 silencer on it. However, if you didn't need to mount the silencer that would be the way to do it.

Good point, I generally assume people who don't SBR won't have a can, but I could be wrong.
