Sig 522 or Tactical Solutions Upper?

Post by tateb24 »

I am deciding whether I should buy a Sig Sauer 522 or a Tac Sol .22 upper for myself. Any opinions or experience with either one?

I do not have any first hand experience with the SIG but I recently got a TacSol .22 upper and I am very happy with it.

The Spikes and the TacSol would be the way to go if you want good accuracy as the Sigs seem to shoot min of can at 50 yrds not
groups like this.

SIG 522. Its a great gun and the whole gun costs less than the AR upper. I can make shotgun shells dance every shot from 50 yards with mine.

I've had my sig 522 for a while now and love it. Got the black dog 50 rnd mag
and it's alwasy fun to shoot. Now if my paperwork for my Element would come in I'd be in business. :D

I have both and would hate to give up either one. Both are extremely accurate and function well with standard velocity ammo. You can't go wrong with either.

I just picked up a TacSol. It runs flawless with everything I fed it so far.
CCI Subsonic, Standard and MiniMag. Its a real tack driver. I am very happy with it. I cant wait until the Glock conversion units are avaliable. Tactical Solutions makes some great stuff, you wont be disapointed. :D

.Redtazdog what forend did you put on your TacSol upper?
I also replaced mine, I used a Hogue overmolded, rifle length.
I didn't care for the space between the barrel shroud and handguard on the original set-up.
I really like the look of what you used, rail on top is a plus, any info. would be greatly appriciated.

Spikes Tactical with YHM Mite. Love it.

When I do my part, this can consistently hit a 12" x 18" steel plate at 200 yards. No THAT'S fun! (I gotta im about 5' high)

I din't see the logic of getting a dedicated 22 rifle, if you got a suitable AR15 lower.
Late to the NFA party, but makin' up for lost time....
