FN SCAR Rifle with AAC SPR/M4 Suppressor (PICS)

Post by FCPtrainer »

HI Everyone,
Below are two pics of a SCAR light rifle that I recently traded for. I wanted to see how my AAC SPR/M4 can would sound on it. It is really pretty quiet, I like it.

Sweet! That is a nice rig. I'm glad to hear it sounds good.

It seems like the upper, lower, pistol grip, and buttstock assembly are all different shades of tan. Is that how it really looks or did the lighting futz with the picture?
I've got Honey Badger Fever.

Selectedmarksman,
This Scar was the nicer in color of the two the shop had. Some of the newest scars have greenish tan tinted uppers, coyote brown colored lowers with tan stocks. It's really a toss up on what you'll get with the Scar rifle colors. But it shoots and sounds good

Nice rifle, I really wish they had longer forearms...

Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy

Do you feel any excessive gas blow back in your face when using the suppressor? I have fired a few different piston ARs and they can produce excessive noise and gas blow back.

By the way, you have a great looking setup!

8416w,
The Scar doesn't seem to create excessive gas blow back when on the suppressor setting. It might if it wasn't on that setting. As far as noise from the shooters perspective, the rifle seems pretty quiet. When I shoot the rifle with the SPR/M4 can on it, I only use the suppressed setting.

I'm very happy with the rifle and the can!

Kirk,

Thank you for the information. I have a STW Systems M30/22 suppressor that directly threads to 1/2x28 threads. It does great on a AR platform and I hope to test it on a SCAR soon. I can use the M30/22 suppressor on a 10.5" AR upper and shoot comfortably w/o hearing protection.

Have a good one
