I made a tower and posted a video. I thought I would share with the ST gang.

Re: Max-11 Beta C Mag video
Very nice! Have you posted it anywhere other than youtube? I'd like to show it to a friend at work, but they've got that site blocked.strobro32 wrote:I made a tower and posted a video. I thought I would share with the ST gang.
Have you tried one on a suomi drum as well?

I have not saved it anywhere else. I have no interest in doing a suomi drum.NN4S wrote:Very nice! Have you posted it anywhere other than youtube? I am currently working on a belt fed M11/9.

Re: Max-11 Beta C Mag video
Sounds interesting... enjoyed watching the beta mag dump. Anyway, he had specifically asked me if a beta mag could be used with an M11/9 after I showed him a video of mine running through the zytel mags.strobro32 wrote:I have not saved it anywhere else. I have no interest in doing a suomi drum.

Wasnt there a belt fed M11/9 upper that was declaired a MG in its self?. I thought someone already tried that and was denyed by tech branch.
Re: Max-11 Beta C Mag video
Sure, though it was 7.62x39.Beretta Steel wrote:Wasnt there a belt fed M11/9 upper that was declaired a MG in its self?. I thought someone already tried that and was denyed by tech branch.
I'm very curious as to whether this is a 9mm upper, and how its feed mechanism is set up.
Re: Max-11 Beta C Mag video
I'm just playing right now. I don't have the skill set to build a 9mm belt feed myself. I was hoping to modify an existing design. I'm thinking about tinkering with a Razorback or 1919 first.

Dang....that'll seriously scratch the itch for sustained FA fire.
Late to the NFA party, but makin' up for lost time....
Re: Max-11 Beta C Mag video
I've go to find a way to do 200 rounds. I need to find the link for the 9mm belt fed upper plans.

Re: Max-11 Beta C Mag video
I don't think I've ever seen plans for a 9mm Mac upper.strobro32 wrote:I need to find the link for the 9mm belt fed upper plans.
I know of two 9mm beltfeds: one the Germans came up with at the end of WWII, and a proprietary system still in development.
Re: Max-11 Beta C Mag video
I keep hearing about these. Does anyone have more information or pictures? Who is developing the the proprietary system?Diomed wrote:I know of two 9mm beltfeds: one the Germans came up with at the end of WWII, and a proprietary system still in development.
I have been working on a couple of things just to find out it is patented and under development for a long time. I've even got my first threatening letter recently.

Re: Max-11 Beta C Mag video
There was a thread on the German one in the last couple of weeks at subguns (or maybe sturm). Not a whole lot of info, but it did have pics of the links. Looked like miniature MG34/42 non-disintegrating links.strobro32 wrote:I keep hearing about these. Does anyone have more information or pictures?
I can't provide any further info. If the designer decides to abandon the project I'd go into more detail.Who is developing the the proprietary system?

Just watched the video again....just for fun.

Ugly but sweet. Just finding his picture helped with two problems I was having.
