The New Thompson Machine Zephyr XL Endcap Pic's - Wow!!

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

Add my appreciation for your showing the innovative, new, and sexy can.
Substantiates the old maxim "Bigger and Longer is Better". :)

Any measurements of db reduction?

Happy Shooting.

Thank you for your generosity in showing; you have mastery of your
camera and photography.

It would be fascinating to see the NCR machining/milling steps to get the
precise cuts that were involved making the Zephyr innards.

On YOUTUBE the cutting of the Bully barrel was shown.
Just seeing the machining of the threads was inspirational ... and
disheartening knowing that one will never have the skill, NCR lathe
and mill ....and sadly, the talent to perform such artistry.

Well if anyone in Indiana is interested they can feel free to contact me about Thompson Machine.

I believe I am still the only stocking dealer (and largest TM dealer??) in Indiana.

I am happy to demo also.

Is the barrel side endcap and the core all one piece?

Nope, the barrel side endcap and the tube are two parts and the monocore and outer endcap are one piece.

Three parts total.

A really cool billet aluminum tool is supplied with each can to assist in taking it apart.

I see it has a very small blast chamber, which is a huge plus for a .22lr suppressor. I bet that thing is QUIET!

Doesn't look that way. Here is what SSNFA posted:
"the barrel side endcap and the tube are two parts and the monocore and outer endcap are one piece."

So, the threaded end in the monocore photo with the "very small blast chamber" would actually be the outer endcap and bullet exit end of the suppressor. The barrel side endcap and tube which are not shown in the photo must therefore be the threaded end that goes onto the rifle.

Unless I am totally confused by what SSNFA posted. Either way, I have one of the Zephyr XLs and a Operative barrel on order and am anxiously awaiting seeing how well they work!

That is correct. The core photos show the "exit side" endcap which is attached to the monocore. The barrel side endcap and tube are not shown in the core photos. I do have some prototype XL cans with about a 2" blast chamber before the monocore starts and they are not any quiter then these flat back cores. The flatback cores have ZERO first round pop.....they are awesoooooome!!!

Just stupid quiet.

Not only is it longer, but it looks like it is larger in diameter, is that true, or is it only an optical thing? While asking what are its dimensions?
