Will someone with experience please list exactly what I need to complete my Form 4 trust transfer?
I am ordering and having sent to my dealer, a can. I know I can complete my Form 4 (going trust route) in duplicate and insert serial number when it arrives at my dealer. I also need the certificate of citizenship, right, in duplicate. Check to BATF for $200 (what address does it go to?) and then package all up and send where?
Did I miss any steps? I know to use double sided form 4's
thanks

You are, in addition to what Arevalo suggests, throw in the 5330.20 as well. They say you don't need it, but some examiners want it anyway.eseaton wrote:Anyone else or am I on the right track for what BATF currently requires?

It's a Form 4, so it goes to Atlanta. (If that's not on your forms, you need new forms.)

Make sure you have your schedule A enclosed listing your items. List not only what is already owned by the trust but also the item you are purchasing. We just had a call from ATF because one of our buyers had failed to include the schedule A. We had them fax it to the fed and they approved it the same day.
As for the address..it is on the front of the F4. Atlanta GA post office box.
Don't worry...if you forget anything...I am sure...they will let you know:))

This is what I have used for two Form 4s with a Trust, one just came back approved 2 weeks ago.
2 x Form 4s
Copy of Trust to include Schedule A
5330.20
MO for $200
Mailed to the Atlanta address.
This last one took about 2 1/2 months.

Is there any hardened rule about this Schedule A situation? I've just started the trust route and this is what my dealer is saying is mandatory:
F4 X 2
Copy of everything that has to do with the trust and schedule A WITHOUT the item added
Cert. of Compliance X 2 with the RLT in the first line
$200
I should refrase, because nothing seems to be a hardened rule, but are people still getting their stuff approved with out the item listed in the Schedule A.

The trust won't hold the new item until the transfer is approved. It should be added to the Sched A after you get the stamp. This is how I do mine and have not had any issues, but others do it the other way and also apparently don't have issues either.

I'm still getting stuff approved without an asset schedule.lostwasthechild wrote:I should refrase, because nothing seems to be a hardened rule, but are people still getting their stuff approved with out the item listed in the Schedule A.

LOL - That is due to the fact that the ATF can recite your trust from memory. Not many have a stamp collection like yours, we just want to.
