Review on THUNDERBEAST 30P-1

Post by Houston Armory »

We had white sparks at first, untill it burned in and about 120 rds later it has almost no flash first rd. Second rd it has no flash and at 130 rds it has almost no shift. All was shot on DPMS SASS 308 factory gun 18 in barrel 1in 10 twist. Shot 5 rds in less than one moa including the first rd. Stay tuned we are still testing. We have a youtube vid we will make with all 30 cal cans we have. BP

VERY good, it was quieter than the sandstorm according to the other shop guys there. We also shot 762SS and it was aslo louder than the 30P-1 Thunderbeast. I have to say we will stock them for sure.

Shane, Zak and Ray make a good can.

And they really support the shooting sports.

Just shot mine for the first time today. I performed well but it wasn't much a test. I had it mounted on my my 300/221 Encore and the range was rather crowded so I couldn't shoot without hearing protection. Subjectively, the sound suppression was on par with my DeGroat special-purpose Whisper suppressor. POI shift was about 2 inches low with 220 Gr SMKs @ 100 yards. I plan on getting one of my 308 hunting rifles threaded for use with the 30P-1 which was the reason for buying it. The fit and finish on the 30P-1 is very good as well my dealings with company.
