Ruger "factory" wood under folding stock?
Ruger "factory" wood under folding stock?
Ok so I'm at a local pawn shop and ask to see any 10-22s so the guy says I have a "factory folding stock" he shows it to me and it looks old it's wood and folds under the buttpad goes into place by a third rail on the left side. My question is did ruger make a underfolding wood stock for the 10-22, by the way he wanted $200, good deal?

Re: Ruger "factory" wood under folding stock?
I tried looking but found nothing regarding a factory folding stocked 10-22.
I suggest you call or e-mail Ruger.

If it looks like this, it was made be Fed Ord, but wasn't factory as far as I am aware.
Stupid, stupid NFA items.

Another answer from the great people on this forum. That's the one. What do y'all think a 1022 in one of those would be worth, or better question what would you pay? It's pretty beat up and missing the barrel band.

Re: Ruger "factory" wood under folding stock?
Ruger never made a factory folder for the 10/22. That , I believe is a Federal.
Re: Ruger "factory" wood under folding stock?
that stock could be sold for about $100 I'd figure.
Re: Ruger "factory" wood under folding stock?
OK I have that stock, its an after market non - Ruger, it sold for around $60.00 years back. It makes for a dandy pocket rifle when SBR'd.
I like this type because when folded under the stock it gives smooth clean lines rather than the type that fold to the side and add to its bulk.

Re: Ruger "factory" wood under folding stock?
Federal Ordnance also made that same stock for M1 carbines. Here's mine slightly modified for the Iver Johnson Enforcer pistol. (Form 1 SBR)
Re: Ruger "factory" wood under folding stock?
I have one simular to that one. The pistol grip is not black plastic, mine is wood. It looks like it might have been from a M1 Carbine.
Re: Ruger "factory" wood under folding stock?
I have the Federal Ordnance wood (walnut) type also....
There are getting harder and harder to find.
2 just sold on GunBrokers within the last month. 1 for $190.00 and 1 for $250 (just the bare stock!)
Did he want $200 for the whole rifle or just the stock?

Re: Ruger "factory" wood under folding stock?
The whole rifle was $200.00 I bought it and gave the receiver to my father in law,and I kept the stock, which is in pretty good shape except someone drilled a hole about and inch wide near the end(A friend of mind is going to plug it up for me). I talked to Sdustin and asked if he did not buy the rifle to let me know, and true to his word he passed the deal to me,two hour drive but the guys in the pawn shop were great to deal with.
