Make me a silencer for an LCP and I'll pay for shipping!!!

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

would an LCP need a Nielson device? Could I just use Ti for the tube and washer stack?

anyone who has experience with Browning based .380's please chime in.

Or that posiden from Thompson. But the LCP is pretty small so the nano might look better.

The threaded barrel may be the larger issue.

indeed. the barrel has a flare at the end and getting it extended/threaded may not be worth it. I don't know if the flare is required mechanically, as I have seen 1911's with flared muzzles and many nowadays do not have them.

I suppose Green Mountain needs to tool up, or someone suggest a smith?

It's the same pinched muzzle as the P3AT. Effectively the same gun, many interchangeable parts.

I recall reading a post from someone on some forum claiming they managed to get a P3AT threaded (expensively) but I never saw any pictures.

P.S. ... the PF9 has the same pinched barrel, I forgot I posted a link to what looks like a threaded PF9 in this thread. http://www.silencertests.com/forum/view ... 84&start=7

Do you know what vendor was displaying those guns? Seems 2 pf9's are threaded.

The Nano and Beretta w/ the slide~lock is very impressive. I will be needing KAC to whip one up for the LCP. I have some 100grn. cast lead bullets to be loaded in the 700fps range for just such an occasion.

Shooting cast lead bullets will warrant purchasing a suppressor that you can open and clean, so the Nano may be the best purchase. I've shot about 100 9mm cast bullets through my Cobra M2 and was really surprised at the amount of lead left behind. I've been shooting plated bullets since. Hope your project pans out and please post pics when you get it done!

Scrape some of that "lead" out and hit it with a tourch. Most times you will find that no silvery liquid comes out, which means its not lead. Im not saying it doesnt happen, because it does, but most times what people think is lead, is ussually not. Lead bullets require lube, which can come off in the can. Typically, if done correctly, lead bullets will leave less fouling behind in the bore than Jacketed bullets do. I tested a can with 300 rounds of cast bullets. It did have some fouling, but when you heat it, It doesnt turn into liquid lead, meaning it is of a different composition. If you get that much leading, you need to slug your bore and Mic it to see what is wrong with the setup. Ill have to figure out how to do a video so I can show you guys what I mean. If cast bullets are matched up to the gun correctly, there should be no lead at all in the can.
