When can we expect it? What bullet manufacturers and weights are we to expect?
Published data from Hornady and Sierra would be nice.

Re: Published load data
It is being worked on by Sierra.
Re: Published load data
Thank you very much AAC and Robert. I had a long interest in the 30-221 etc, but it never seemed quite mainstream enough for me. Had always also been interested in a suppressor, but knew the limits of suppressing a supersonic round vs a subsonic, with this I get the best of both worlds! Thank you.

Re: Published load data
My old 50th edition of the Sierra manual has 300 Whisper data. 7 pages worth from 110gr. up to 240gr.
Test weapon is a 10" Contender.

Re: Published load data
Probably 2/3 of those are not valid for ARs.
Re: Published load data
In all probability, more than 2/3. But not all those interested in reloading this cartridge will be firing it in an AR. For those that are, there are loads with A1680 for 150gr. bullets and up. The point being that there is data currently available to use until Sierra can publish data specifically for the 300 BLK/AAC upper combination. And reloading is all about experimentation anyway, so for those that are chomping at the bit, this is a starting point with pressure tested data from which to proceed. Any handloader worth his salt should be able to come up with a decent load in a couple of hours of tweaking at the range.
