Quicksand reviews wanted

Post by 1911slave »

Does anyone have a Quicksand and some trigger time with it? I checked one out at SHOT last year but have not seen any reviews.

Thanks

I am hoping to have some trigger time soon. I am waiting on my next shipment.

oops. I mis-read this. Thought they said sandstorm.
Shoot softly, and carry a big clip.

I have the quicksand and love it. I've used it on my DPMS SASS .308 (Smith Vortex Mount), Rem 700 LTR .308 (Tension Style Mount) and 11.5" 5.56 sbr (HK-416 Mount). Sounds great, love the mounting system.

I've been very happy with the accuracy with the suppressor attached. Sound reduction is awesome. I was impressed with the low tone when used in a sub caliber role (5.56).

2 groups from final zeroing/sighting (Had to send the upper to DPMS as ejection was rough and accuracy was lacking. They did some work to the bolt & polished the chamber)

JohnDS...is there any difference in sound reduction from teh HVT to the Quicksand? I am looking for the best can for my ArmaLite SASS and saw the Quicksand at last year's SHOT. I like the Ti for the weight but also want very good suppression.

Thanks

I didn't notice much difference, side by side on bolt guns the Quicksand seemed to have a bit better reduction than the HVT. However - that could be new can ears speaking.
