Yup, once they're available I'm going to take a hard look, could always use another 22 pistol. Plus I like my threaded 22/45 MkIII, so this just seems great.

FYI, they've got them listed on Davidson's now.

Item 10150 has no rails (top or bottom), but does have iron sights and is tapped for a scope mount on top.

Item 10149 has rails on top/bottom, but no iron sights.

I put a stock watch to see how much they run once they come in.

I just got a 22/45 Target with threaded barrel from Hi Desert Dog. Great price and a really neat pistol. Haven't shot it yet.

He has some in stock.

That's right, he's got the same ones, probably cheaper than what these factory ones will run too.

They've been listed on Davidsons for a while now. God only knows when they're actually going to be available, though. It could be months. I'm about to just order a Pac Lite soon. I've still got months before my suppressor will be here, though.

Do my eyes decieve me? They finally put replaceable grips on the 22/45? WooHoo!

Looking at their page, almost all of the 22/45's have replaceable grips. Maybe I just bought the cheapest piece of s--t they were offering, knowing I was going to replace the barrel and assuming the frames/grips were all the same.

ETA: Now we just have to get them to get rid of the frickin:

BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM
-------------STURM, RUGER & CO., INC., SOUTHPORT, CONN, USA.-----------------

Why can't they just print that on the side with paint, or use a sticker. Engraving that bullshit on the barrel ruins it.

if the threading turns out to be good (concentric to the bore) they will sell a lot of these guns. better late to the market than never....

I like the one with the sights, and I like the lower rail. Maybe they will offer the lower rail as an add on....what if these are already drilled and taped for the rails?

The one with irons is already drilled/tapped for a rail up top. Looking at the exploded view on the Ruger site, it doesn't appear that it is ready for the underside rail though.

I can send you a picture of mine if it will help! jk

I am sure that he will have some more in soon.

By the way, the upper rail and screws come in the box with the gun. Frame is drilled and tapped. Nice set up.

Upper and lower? Wait, maybe you're talking about the Ruger version without irons. FB3 is talking about the Hi-Desert version, which has irons and just tapped up top for the regular rail that comes with the gun.

I can't imagine it being too difficult for your local smith to drill/tap underneath the barrel too. Buy another Ruger rail or whatever, shorten it up and voila!

I'm still trying to think why I'd need an underside rail for my 22/45...but to each his own I guess. Maybe we should just make a quadrail forearm for it  Hey that's not a bad idea. Make a shroud of sorts, quad rails, have it attach to the holes already drilled/tapped on top, maybe have some sort of connector for the trigger guard for support.

I was thinking of running a light on there, or light laser combo. Something to step off the deck with when the dogs go nuts of an evening. It is usually nothing, cat, coons, or foxes usually. Sometimes a skunk but my fear is that it will be a porcupine one day.

These are in-stock at Buds. I just ordered one of the 10150 no-rail version.

Just a heads up for anybody looking. :D

Paid $310 for this out the door today, and my 22 Stainless Sparrow arrived at my dealer from Major. Great Day

One small gripe about this pistol. There is a 2-3mm area under the barrel that was not parkerized, it looks like holster wear but isn't. You can kinda see it in this pic directly under the front sight. I picked up the gun about 30 mins after Fed Ex dropped it off at my dealer so it came that way from the factory. Called Ruger and they already emailed me a UPS prepaid tag to have it shipped back and fixed.

That's the exact combo I'm going to wind up with.

Waiting on my Form 4 to be approved, went pending on 2-4 so I've still got some waiting to do.

Looks great..

The more I see those guns, the more I like them. Maybe I'm a little biased since I already have a 22/45, but the wood grips just push it over the edge.

Ruger should sell those new lowers for $50 or less. I have an older model and would like the replaceable grips. I hate Ruger's policy on their rimfire pistol lowers... bastards.

Agreeded. That is a nice looking piece/setup.
