Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

I am looking unto building my first can. I am not a machinist, but I have a brother who is. He told me to get some plans and he can probably build it. I was checking out silencer-plans.com. Has anyone tried them? Any good or a waste of money? Any other good resources for prints?

Absolutely use Paul for your design. He did a great job on mine and offered six different designs. I am VERY impressed with his work! He handled any changes without so much as a hiccup.

Looks to be a UK sight. You might have trouble finding some of the stock specified in the plans since it is all metric. You will also have to know when to change to ANSI thread standards to interface with American weapons.

Interesting sight, did not know it existed.

Hi,

Yep !, It’s my Site, It’s not a UK Site but a Web Site :-)

We have more than a 100 designs there. By default, all Dimensions are in Inches and “ANSI Unified Screw Threads”. Customers can have mm and ISO threads on demand.

We have a lot more designs that we don’t have in the Site due to our laziness on keeping it updated. We are abut to finish now a complete new site, faster, bigger, easier and with a new “pay & download” system (now we send the Plans by e-mail ...).

We also work on Custom Made designs.

With regards to materials, we usually check for availability on the design phase.

For .22LR we have 5 standard designs, 4 MonoCores, 2 Replicas and 1 Kit.

I don’t like to talk about business in the Forum but this one was like to not let it go.

Best,

Paul

Paul,

When I go to << http://www.silencer-plans.com/english.htm >> I see
on lower left a box entitled " .22 LR Suppressor Kit -- ENTER "

When I hit the ENTER button all I get is a pretty blue wash over everything.

This has always been the case. I presume that it is not like the wonderful RIVEN
where one has to find the correct combination of hidden pressure points to open
the Time Portal. :)

What is up?

Does the same for me. I would love to check out the site and order some of your plans, but the site seems to be having some difficulties. Please let us know when the kinks are worked out. Thanks.

Hi,

I’m aware of some Browsing issues when using Mac OS (Apple) but not with other Browsers and Operating Systems.

We are now finishing the new Web Site. We bring over 30 new designs and new navigation and instant Downloads.

In the meantime, try accessing the Site from a Windows machine.

Sorry about that.

Best,

Paul

Paul, " .. try accessing the Site from a Windows machine."

Surely you jest!

Hi delta9mda,

What Plan are you targeting out ?. We've got around 150 designs already. Not all shown in the Site but coming soon.

Your site is viewable with Internet Explorer, but not all functions are available with other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome.

Hey Paul, I ordered plans from your site. I'm curious as to why you have to wait 48 hours before you send the plans? Do you do a background check?

Thanks

Hi,

We do check every single Plan before we send them. The time we take depends on our worload. Sometimes is just on the fly some times takes more.

Now we are changing most of our Servers and Software so we have delays and down times. The actual system is quite manual and gets overloaded when the waiting queue gets full.

We are delivering all the pending Plans today. We are a small team and do everything by our own: Design, Build prototypes, Test, ...

Best,

Paul

Hi,

The new site is going live in just a matter of days.

Please, before complaining about delivery delays, check your fucking SPAM/BULK/JUNK folder !

Plans are some times there ... and once again, it's not our fault but your e-mail service provider not doing any good for you.

I'm sure they all do a good job in addressing you to FuckBook, TrickDick and all this satanic places ... Give'em a call and let them know we are in the Suppressors business not in the gay-girls-metro-pics-chat-pm story !

We enjoy Boooooooooooooooooom ! and Pisssssssssssssssssssssss ! (and beer, of course ...)

Best,

Paul

Hey PNL,

Great to hear you've put up such a site, this will definitely help out in our Form1 project. I had trouble viewing the site last night from home, and can't access it from here at work, but was wondering how much your plans typically go for (on average)?

I told a few guys at work about it and it definitely sparked some interests w/ the group

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, we know we have issues with some Browsers to correctly view the Site. We also have some issues when we deliver the Plans due to our e-mails going to funcy folders like SPAM/JUNK/BULK/PUNK and some more others that SP's put to F--k the good people and just dirve you to evil pages

Good new is that we are coming out with a whole new site, pay & download and suiteable for all Browsers. It's not easy for us.

Some more good news: now we are limitted to arround 100 Designs and now it's unlimitted so we'll be uploading arround 150 in the first shot !

So, just few days more and ready !

Best,

Paul

It looks like it kicks ass right now. I'm looking forward to seeing how much ass it kicks after the upgrade.
