What's the "World record" for Form 1/Form 4 approval?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

What's the "World record" for Form 1/Form 4 approval?

Either Corp, Trust, or Individual, what's the fastest that we know of someone getting an SBR made, suppressor, or MG transferred?

Certainly same day, but I am not sure if it is 10 minutes, an hour, or a few hours.

It's been known for someone to send in their paperwork and have it approved the same day as it was received? Or would that be one of those "Hey, Carl Truscott is my neighbor..." things?

I have had a same day fax back F4.

Prohibited person to me. Conditional on the Tax being paid.

This was so I could legally be in possession of the guns that the cops took from the guy.

Back around 2005/2006 my corp transfers, Form 1 or 4 were running 21 to 27 days door to door! I miss those days!

I have had 4 corp transfers in the 14-20 day range. Then I have had them take months, you just never know.

I remember talk in the past that when the ATF was in DC you could pay a local lawyer a little extra to walk your F4 over and get immediate approval.

I've heard this to, however I have never heard it first of second hand. It's always been one of those urban legend type things.

I think my quickest was in '08 was something like 25 days mailbox to mailbox.

Last October I had my Liberty Essence go from mailbox to mailbox in 11 days. Also at the same time I had some come back that were out 6 months..

The way DC works I wouldn't bet against this happening sometime in the past though. It sounds very plausible/possible.

I have had a few same day.

One was only a few minutes to affix the stamp and sign it in the presence of the recipient.
