Marchers call for ATL pawn shop owner to stop selling guns

Two of the shop's customers silently watched the marchers.

"Guns Save Lives," the buttons pinned to their shirts read. (These are supplied by GeorgiaCarry.org) :D

One of the men wore a holstered handgun.

One of the demonstrators shouted at them for bringing a gun to an anti-gun march. "That is how much you disrespect this community!" she shouted twice.

The men told 11Alive News they just happened to be shopping at the store, not knowing that a demonstration would be taking place.

"Getting rid of guns and closing down the store is not going to be the answer to the crime and the situation in this area," said Dave Frommer, the one carrying the pistol. "In fact, more people carrying guns and taking responsibility for their own lives and their own protection is what really helps a neighborhood."

They should close down the liquor stores and welfare offices instead.

LOL! I live in Augusta, I've been to ATL a few times, and there are some real s--t-hole areas in there.

Selling guns... that's for people with proper ID and a background check. Maybe the marchers should have marched against STOLEN firearms being used for crime.

Of course, they could cut out the middle-man and march against thieves and murderers instead.

Or short-circuit the process and close down liquor stores and welfare offices. I promise you, it isn't the school-teachers, dentists, and other professionals doing drive-bys, robbing liquor stores, or making a ruckus at 2:47 in the morning on the curb under the street-light in the hood. Rather, it is the deadbeats and lowlifes, the kind that like to congregate near welfare offices and liquor stores.

Lets be real here, we tried shutting down liquor stores before....
pro-gun gun owners are a minority.

Hey, just because it's a bad idea with side effects 10 times worse than the problem itself is no reason not to do it.
