A2 rear sight elevation question
How much elevation can you get out of the calibrated drop dial and what are the click increments ie 2 moa ect.
Re: A2 rear sight elevation question
Who makes the sight in question. Might be discrepancies per maker

Idk? I was wondering if anybody knew the standard???
Re: A2 rear sight elevation question
Interesting question. I don't know the answer. I don't use any sights with rear elevation adjustment. Are you looking for shift in POI at a given distance for each click? It would be different depending on barrel length and ammunition.

This is LOL, I was near certain you'd know the answer to this however I also took into consideration you don't really use them.rob_s wrote:Interesting question. I don't know the answer. What Im really looking for is the value per click (what moa) and its limitations( how many inches are available at its limitations).

Here's from an old old post:

Also check out this link from one of the Army FMs:In my Colt Match Target Rifles Manual, it lists the values for elevation on the rear sight per click for both rifle and carbine, fixed or removable carry handle.
20" Rifle, fixed is 1MOA.
16" Carbine, fixed is 1.43MOA.
20" Rifle, removable is 0.53MOA.
16" Carbine, removable is 0.65MOA.
