Form 1 50bmg suppressor

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Thats because he is reloading
and he is REALLY bad at it

you see , he did set the bullet too far out
then he could not quiet close the bolt because the bullet was hitting the lands
then opening the bolt again the bullet was sticking , he then pulled the bolt back and pulled the case out

normally you then have all the powder spilling in the gun messing up the action

but as said ,, he ist really bad at reloading , he even forgot to put powder in the case , thats why there is no powder all over the gun

Wow. 690 grains of silent kick-ass.

Do you keep those cases separate from your other empties? Seems like you could use them for a good while longer.

If it's really heavy, how about removing material from the spacers to drop more weight and gain more volume ? You can just drill holes in them.

Your post has me selling a CZ 308 kevlar to fund my 50 cal project. Looking at this I had a couple of questions.

Did you do anything to secure the baffels to the spacers other than drop them in and weld the end caps?

Also, do you shoot API rounds through it at all? I thought about shooting some of that but am affraid if I get a baffel stike (dont know if it would set it off) the 2oz of RDX in the thing would be more than enough to turn my can into a grenade being that close to it.

Jimmy,

Would you care to share an update now that you have had this can for some time now?

How many rounds through it ....

How's everything holding up .....

Anything you would have done differently .....

That sort of thing

Thanks!

Hey Wisper no problem. I have put hundreds of rounds thru it and there is not a glitch. It looks like there is not any erosion on the blast baffle. Welds and tube is fine.(I was a little concerned using the thin tubing) I'm really pleased with it. I wish it was a little lighter but it's huge so I guess that is what it is. Its the quietest 50 can I have ever heard.I have had allot of people shoot it and they cant believe how quiet it is. To my ear its as quiet as my trident with full power ammo. It makes 50 shooting allot of fun.

The only thing I would have done differently is thin out the baffles more so it would be lighter.(not the blast baffle)
