Hey, haven't been on in a while and did a search, but I just got a Sig P238 and wanted to get the barrel threaded. I remember a couple of people did it, but it wasn't easy. I have emailed Tornado, but haven't gotten any response.
Any suggestions? Did everybody give up on this?
Thanks,
P238 Threaded Barrel

whats the barrels OD?
Re: P238 Threaded Barrel
Unfortunately, I don't have the gun nearby, but the O.D is pretty small and it's very thin wall...

Degroat did it but I remember him saying he won't be doing it again .....
Re: P238 Threaded Barrel
No, he'll do it again. It's actually his favorite.

I believe someone claimed to have once threaded a KelTec P3AT and said "never again".

Call Accurate Ordinance in GA. They can even thread a Smith 41.
Re: P238 Threaded Barrel
I just got an email from Brooks @ Thompson machine, and they are too busy making cans, but he recommended James at Degroat. The walls are so thin, it would probably only be advisable with one of the new tiny wet cans. Aside from not cycling, I think a big can might break the barrel...

Well I'll be damned. I remember him talking about it the first time he did it but missed that thread entirely. Cool!

Re: P238 Threaded Barrel
Sorry guys haven't been on in a while, it's been a crazy year so far.
I do currently thread the P238 for Nano suppressor customers and charge $180 which includes return shipping.
The slide is opened up a little to allow for the threaded barrel extension as the barrel is pretty thin.
For the record my ArmamentSales.com e-mails are currently down and have been for a while now. Please send e-mails to [email protected] until my other e-mail accounts are fixed.
