m4-1000 18T muzzle brake

Post by imyomama »

Any chance AAC may make another batch of muzzle breaks for the m4-1000 in 18T ?

My m4-1000 shows signs of erosion , and the muzzle brake would help allot in this issue...

thanks !!!

also , if the answer is no , could a 1/2x28 to 5/8x24 adapter be used on a 556 platform to use the brake for the 30 cal they do make , and/or would it hurt performance ?

I believe the last time this came up AAC is out of stock and has no plans for anymore. Allen Arms had like 2 or 3 left . . .

Adapters would be a good choice provided whomever is doing the machine work is competent.

He bought all of these and sold a few to Allen Arms.

Try the Major for sure

I got the last one Major Malfunction had just a few days ago and I need another one too. So I just bought a 1/2-28 to 5/8-24 adapter at the Silencer Store and as soon as AAC has more .30 cal 18-tooth muzzle brake mounts in stock, I'll get one of those.

called Bryon too , he's out ... just wondering how much the 30 cal brake would do in a 556 host since the hole is bigger ...

I sure wish AAC would make some more

We make 100 of these at a time. Would there be enough folks needing them to make 100 of them?

I would be in for two. I did not know these existed and missed out. I hope this comes to pass. Maybe the Major would be good enough to get this going.

How long ago did you make the 100 for Major Malfunction, a year ago, 18 months? And there all gone. Surely they would sell. Come on, be a sport and make another batch!

They may not sell out overnight, but I'm certain they would sell out. Just put them on the website like the other muzzle mounts you sell and they will gradually disappear.

So far the count is at around 15 from people that have posted in this thread...not counting others who may have read it and not posted. I understand this is pretty far away from 100, but this is also only within the span of 11 days. That is more than 1 brake per day of this thread's life that would have sold.

Each new AR I get, I would like to put a brake on it, and I currently have 3 ARs with blackouts on them that I wouldn't mind converting to brakes.

Just trying to lobby a little so this happens sooner than later. :D

I could take at least three more 18T brakes.

I see no problems selling 100 of these on your website. Maybe not overnight, but it would be nice for these to be made to fill the obvious demand right now. This topic comes up often enough here but also on other sites that a 100 run batch would likely be sold out in a few months at most.

I think this is do-able

However, I need to work through the SHOT show backlog.

Let's try this at the end of the second quarter?
