Power. Liberals think only the government should have power. Power in the hands of a citizen is dangerous.

An armed populace cannot be ordered or controlled by the government. They want the government to control every aspect of our lives.

Republicans in the federal government are just as opposed to gun rights as Democrats are. The only difference is that in the kabuki theatre that we call the federal government the Democrats have chosen to play the part of the side who chooses to openly voice their opposition to your right to protect yourself.

First, we must move beyond the false left/right paradigm. Doing so is the first step in recognizing how we have been pacified by the illusion if choice.
