Sparrow SS o-ring?

Post by smokey1 »

Did the search function a couple times, but nothing comes up with o-ring/ o ring.

Question:
What type of o-ring material is used in the Sparrow Stainless Can that is resistance to high heat, gunpowder, hot lead vapor and any other ingredients missed.

The manual states a -13 o-ring, but does not mention the material composition.
Buna-n, Silcone, Viton or EPDM,etc? Be nice to know, should I rip one or it needs replacing down the road.

Question:
When the time comes for cleaning, would like to use either the "dip" and/or ultrasonic cleaning w/purple power & water. Figure, around 1000+ rounds, I'll give her a bath. Should one remove the o-ring in the female thread grove, first?

We use Viton O-rings. Yes, please remove the o-ring when cleaning. Thanks for your support! Let us know if you need anything else.

When you add only small items it automatically discounts shipping.
