ATF continued.......

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

I'd be happy with anything under 200 days at this point.

They should start an intern program -- we could go in as volunteers to help with the processing!

I've got two form 1's that have been pending 101 days. If the ATF was on the same time lines as last year when got my silencer 106 days from pending I'd be a happy camper right now.

On NFA tracker.com it looks like everything is running 6 months, so I guess I have 80 days to go.

The wait sucks, but I'd rather wait, and have, then not be able to have anything to wait for.

I've got my sights set on mid July, but it's possible I could get a pleasant surprise.

I would have probably been approved a week ago, but I went into problem status for fainling to fill my name into the blank in the CLEO signoff section. I can't wait for the mail and the dealer phone call!

Good we are getting to the end of the October stamps. I will be extremely happy when we get to the end of the December stamps.

I was approved on the 25th but I still haven't got the call from the dealer. I put him on notice but every day that goes by I want to call and ask if he got it. I'm really hoping I will have it before this weekend to get to try it out. The wait for the stamp to come in is almost as bad as wait from pending to approved.

Updated to add Stamp was received Saturday May 12 going pick it up tonight.

I hope I don't die of old age before I get the permission slips necessary to exercise my 2nd Amendment "right." It actually took the BATFE a few weeks after USPS delivery was confirmed for my Form 1s to cash my check on April 10th. I fully expect to wait about a year. By that time, I will be living in a new state (also suppressor friendly) and have a new address. I dread the complications and delays that reporting an address change for my trust will make!

Just think how good the suppressor industry could do without this and an additional $200 for each can. :( Our gov helping small businesses.

I don't know why my 7.62 took 11 weeks to go into pending status? and I'm currently at 9 weeks and still nothing in the NFA system on my .338 wtf? All my dates look screwed up does anyone have any idea why? where is the problem? Most of the transfers here seem like they're going pending ALOT quicker than I am.

Why should it take the ATF 7 weeks to approve a transfer from a manufacturer to a dealer???? Purchased cans on March 8th and had state paperwork done in 3 weeks (from what the dealer said) leaves the ATF 7 weeks to approve a manufacturer to dealer transfer......this is my first purchase. Should I expect the ATF to take 7+ weeks to approve the manufacturer to dealer transfer EVERY time? Or did my dealer drop the ball?
I've gotta stop this habit.

As with everything related to NFA, things are taking longer right now. Form3's are no exception and are taking 5-8 weeks at the moment.

On the bright side of the 5-8 week turn around that means I'm only about a week away from the Form 3 being approved on my first two suppressors!!!!!! Then we can finally get the ball rolling on getting ME approved! It's been torture just waiting to start the stopwatch on my 6+ month wait.
I've gotta stop this habit.
