I was a military pilot, now an airline guy, been flying for 32 years with maybe 16,000 hours. I'd LOVE to claim I'd seen a UFO, but I never have, and that's not for lack of looking. Let's just say I'm a hopeful skeptic.

Why are the damned things always just moving lights? Small moving lights at that? If I was going into combat, or wanted to avoid being seen, the first thing to go would be exterior lighting, assuming the UFO lights aren't part of the drive or something.

And the "abduction" phenomenon... almost all of the abductees recall some weird kinky stuff, anal probes, harvesting gametes, alien hybrids, etc. This cracks me up. Any civilization that can travel the stars could string together whatever DNA they needed from scratch, using some alien "DNA-O-Matic" machine. We can almost do this ourselves, right now. At a minimum, all they'd need would be some skin scrapings to get all the DNA info they'd need.

Like I mentioned, I think it'd be cool if it was real. I'd like to see it. But why can't the damned aliens show up in a "District 9" ship and cancel all doubts, rather than fuzzy videos of light blobs.

The issue with a UFA is far to many people think UFO means ALIEN a UFO is a ( Unidentified Flying Object ) this just means that the person who has seen the object did not know what it was. Thsi is a far cry from aliens.

I for one think there is life out there somewhere the odds point that way. However the idea that they come to earth from so far away and and only fly in remote areas and can only be seen for the most part at night and that with all the sighting nobody has ever got a clear in focus picture of one leads me to believe they are not in fact here.
Kind of like Bigfoot and other such creatures.

When I realized I reached the end of it I wasn't sure I had actually read anything so I read it again to be sure and realized I didn't read anything the first time.

Anyone who does not understand why all UFO sighting on earth are just a light moving through the sky just does not understand alien technology like I do.

In order to reach the life that inhabits other planets the aliens must travel light years. Naturally all those light years are filled with asteroids and other space debris, especially around mother earth. So the only way to navigate through these vast dangers is to have a force field around your alien space craft. So when these alien craft enter our atmoshere the sun/moon etc reflects off of this force field and that is the reason why see a light moving through the sky. The aliens that have been visitng us have not figured out how to cloak their force field like the Romulans have or perhaps they are not even aware that we can see them. If they do not know that we can see them then I question just how sophisticated and advanced they really are.

Agreed. Remember the 60's was a great time for innovative aircraft. But there was no computer modeling so they had to build it and fly it. I wonder how many UFO reports were made when the flying wing was being tested.

And lets not forget about what is being flown right now that we don't know about. How many reports of the stealth fighter were there before it was outed? Supposedly we have the Aurora flying right now. I read (popular science magazine IIRC) about it being spotted (well at least it's contrail) off the cost of CA and then again in HI along with seismic reports that indicated it was traveling faster than Mach 6. Of course there was tremendous speculation here but I found it plausible.

If the creature is real, and it's a carbon-based life form, then yes you need a minimum brain size for intelligence.

Extrapolate it downward; insect sized and smaller. At some point, there aren't enough brain cells/neurons for higher function. Gotta have neurons, lots of them, for intelligence.
