Favorite 9mm pistol host?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

These are my favorites... in order:

1) Sig P226 (navy seals issue)
2) Walther P99
3) FNP9 (pretty much a tie with the walther)
4) Glock 19

Sig P226... 1st time every time. (suppressed or not)

Glock 17 second.

Out of the ones I have (G17, G19, P226, USP9SD) the P226 is my favorite.

7 x sigs (226 & P228/229 are all pretty much the same)
2 x HK P30
and one browning high power.

It's really starting to look like a sig landslide.

Pretty much the first time I've ever seen it not be a Glock blowout.... let alone not see a Glock is #1 fanboy post. Does this mean SilencerTalk folk are a bit more upscale?

My only non-.22 host is a Glock 19 so I really have nothing else to vote for. I'd love to hear my can, provided the ammo is the same, on my Glock 19 then immediately on a Sig P226.

Get a surplus sig from wideners... when they have them.

That's how I got my first and I love it. Worn parts and all...

Thanks, Doubloon.

Apologies for forgetting to flesh out specs on my HiPower:

Pre-War* FN, slotted, tangent sight, legal slab,
13 rounds, all numbers matching ( would you expect
less ); back up replacement barrels.

But, my heart will always belong to my .45 NM Gov. 1911A1... calloused rectangular hand web.

As I was wont to say to those who would listen to me during the intervening years:

" 9mm sucks if you want to survive;
but with a .45 you'll always come out alive " :)

Historical Note: Best shooter with a .45 I ever had the honor to see shoot, my standard, Major Dick Culver ( founded the USMC Sniper School ).
When he fired the .45 every part of his body became a human steel clamp. Once I saw him shoot out a quarter
size hole in the target at 25 yards.

Adolf Hitler is from Mel Brooks comedic song " Spring Time For
Hitler and Germany" . << http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K08akOt2kuo >>

Adolf Hitler loved gun control for public safety also.

NEVER!!! Would thinkest thou that I, O Knight, would be so crass, so bereft of soul, so ... so... gasp... a Democrat? :)

Threaded drop in ( with a little stoning ) barrels abound in the Kingdom ... they called up 'back up barrel'. :)

I am indeed grateful to you for asking for clarification. I almost permanently sullied my meagre reputation.

Dear God! That you could even harbor the abhorrent thought that I would ever contaminate any historical device we all cherish.
Why.. why... it would put me in the category of ... of... a Democrat! [Needed to repeat for effect] A demented savage who would use the
FG-41 scope filters for tree decorations;
the stock of a Purdey to crack walnuts;
a magazine for a Schnellfeuer as a Pez Dispenser.

And to even be thought of by my brethren to be in the class of the most degraded, unredeemable, swinish,
churlish of weapons aficionados, the lowest of the lowest who might even send his Lugar Carbine to Red Jacket
to have him hand thread the barrel, have his daughter send it to the painter to color the metal, Kris engrave the magazines
and replace the wood matching number base with mother of pearl, and then
finish off with the RJ emblem on the shoulder stock.

Oh the pain of it. You think so little of me. :) :)

My favorite is my STI 2011 in 9mm:
Image
STi 2011 frame and slide, storm lake bull barrel.

20+ rounds of 9mm goodness with a ~2lbs 1911 trigger pull and is insanely accurate and soft shooting.
Video here:

When I want a non-race gun, I go for my Glock 17 though.

Next in line would be my Sig P229.

I do love the SIGs (226, 228, and 229)!

Would like to do a 9mm or Super bbl for one of my Tripp framed 1911s as well

Wonderful, my friend. I now feel I have redeemed myself in your eyes.

As for the grog, it was Christmas Meodu (Old Eng: Honey Wine ) made by the
a Bud who is an Abbott , MONKeying around
while making some winter home beer.

I compliment you in your appreciation of Akiro Kurosawa, especially Rashomon. The Japanese Luigi Pirandello.

Best.
