That's close. The plug isn't touching the silencer is it?

Nice, btw. I really need to get a TiRant 45 or Osprey45.

That is close.
If you wanted too, mount the plug in a lathe and take a little off the end.
You've got plenty in front of the bushing.

The bushing and plug are flush with each other. The edges of the bushing are tapered so it gives the illusion that its thinner than the plug. Ill take a better picture.....

Good job!

I'm going the economical way. :) Just got a drop-in 1911 threaded StormLake barrel from Grabagun ($189) for my SA 1911A1 Government. It took 10 days to arrive during the recent hording frenzy.
The barrel did not drop in. So last night I had to remove a teensy bit of material from the outsides of where the lower lugs meet the barrel and from the inside edge of the lug on the bushing.

I wanted to re-thread it closer like you but I was afraid of the interrupted threads. Yours looks better than I thought it would. I will use it with the Thompson Machine Poseidon 45 and in about 4 months, the TM QMF 2. It's a work in progress.

If it doesn't splatter, shatter, burst or explode, it's not worth shooting.

Great looking setup, and great videos. I'm virgin to suppressors as they're in their infancy of legality here in Michigan. I'm working on an order for my first 2 now. A 762-SDN6 for my rifle, and I'm leaning towards the Tirant45 for my Nighthawk. I have a few questions for you:
1) When you had your barrel threaded, did you chop the barrel shorter and then have threads added closer to the gun to achieve the closer mounting?
2) What kind of grease are you using in the video? I've never been a grease guy for any of my guns, but I'm open to new things. I figured that grease or frog lube would be great for a can as I can only imagine how much carbon they collect.
3) In your video, you mentioned that you also have an Osprey45. Do you have a preference for one over the other on a 1911?
4) I'm also considering buying the additional pistons to use this on my Glock 19 and Sig P229. Given that fact, do you have a preference of the AAC vs the Silencerco?

All help is appreciated!
