Potato as suppressor

Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

Obligatory SilencerTalk responses:

Nice, but how does it meter?
How do you disassemble it? (with a knife and fork)
How does it handle "the dip". (fine as long as it's sour cream and onion)

A monocore based potato suppressor would probably gain you additional effectiveness. Maybe hollow out a mid sized zucchini as a can. If you chose to use an absorptive material in the blast chamber I would recommend peas (frozen of course).

Also soaking it in a seasoned brine would likely get you more "wet" shots.

if you believe the internet, duct taping a potato to the end of a revolver will make it absolutely silent.

Red Jacket Tactical Russet Suppressor, it works better wet, with sour cream, butter, and chives.

You forgot.
How is it for FRP?

Unlike many suppressors which try to claim no FRP this suppressor is ALL FRP (fancy russet potato).

When will it be available with the "aluminum foil finish" option?

"doubloon -Unlike many suppressors which try to claim no FRP this suppressor is ALL FRP (fancy russet potato)."
Well crafted. BRAVO!!!!

I cannot wait for responses on the DIPS that will be used to clean out
the Loaded Twice-Baked Potatoes.

Is there a recipe for GREEK-Potatoes ( actually
a delicious staple) that is baked until it CARBONizes? Opa!

As was often said in Southie in the 1940's- "Whiskey was created to
keep the Irish from conquering the world. Cooked potatoes in all forms were God's gift
to compensate."

Remembering my dear Grandmother's buttered hash browns
at noon time brings a prayer of gratitude ... and a now ravenous
hunger. :) :)

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried firing a suppressor that
has been pushed into a long hard French baguette?

E.g., << http://images-mediawiki-sites.thefullwi ... 037634.jpg >>

As George Carlin used to say " I get payed to think up

Additional Obligatory ST comment:

"I don't see a serial number on any of those vegetable based silencers. Better delete the pics and deny all knowledge before the ATF (or FDA) comes knockin' and you'll be gettin' your potato salad tossed in prison."

Does this mean I will have to do a Form 1 or 4 on every potato I own? Or would the potato be considered a wipe and could be replaced once it was destroyed?

HK91
I am sure the ATF would love to do a ruling similar to Chore Boy for it.

Can we get a twice baked version?

Is AAC going to come out with a sweet potato version?

They are coming out with a quick detach mount so Doubloon can mount his potato quickly.

...uh..... ...um..... uh...... anyhow....

Would this be considered a carbon fiber can? I mean after all, it is a carbon based life form... and high in fiber AS LONG AS YOU CONSUME THE PEEL.

If we were to attach the potato silencer to Ronnie Barrett's .50
it could reach near orbit ... then would it be know as a SPUDnik?

Talking about great potato dishes, here is one for those who can cook up
as great a meal as they can a new suppressor design:

<< http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2010 ... au-gratin/ >>

Just let the Obamas and their marxist food nazis try taking this recipe out of our cold, dead, sauté pan. :)
