Damn that is one ugly duckling. Neat idea though
Keep calm, and suppress on

Glocks and bulldogs are ugly too. Both serve very well.ChimeraPrecision wrote:Damn that is one ugly duckling. Neat idea though
Only thing is he says Ruger HC mags need Xpower spring kits for the fast action so a suppressor may have issues.
I can risk $199 to find out .

I wonder if the black portion surrounding the barrel is polymer or metallic. For threading purposes...

Re: Who will be the first to Zip it?
If I can find on in the local gun stores, I'll pick one up.
I'm really just waiting to see a good threaded one used...someone will buy it and not like it.
For less than $200, it's worth a chance. Plus I like the idea of turning it into a SBR.

Re: Who will be the first to Zip it?
You would be better off suppressing a Jennings, at least they run.

A can may help fix, some worked fine. We will see ( like anything new ) btw, the demo guns work fine.

My Jennings does great.

Re: Who will be the first to Zip it?
My dealer is willing to sell me 2(Both with factory 10 round mag) at $230 + tax each. I haven't jumped on it yet, I think I may wait to pick one up used or wait till the threaded barrel comes factory installed on a model so I can minimize cost on a gun that will rarely get use. Really hate that charging handle, but at least it is different than the norm, something desperately needed in the gun market.
Re: Who will be the first to Zip it?
JOHN_E ,
My spikes tactical .22 is very ammo picky. It won't cycle bullets that unless they have a copper jacket. Even then my spikes is still picky. The upper even came with a note saying "only shoot xxx ammo". So maybe that's why it didn't work for you.

40 grain cci is one of the recommend loads, gave the same result as Federal bulk 36 grain.wacki wrote:JOHN_E ,

I have a TON of the Federal stocked up and it runs beautifully in all my pistol and rifle hosts. Hell, my LAGE converted m11/nine loves the federal.
Something is wrong with this first batch, I will try another once a second corrected version is released. The concept is very cool, but not as a single shot.
Re: Who will be the first to Zip it?
NO.
They get a couple points for attempt and innovation. But otherwise, NO.
I will not charge a gun by putting my hand in front of the barrel. I do no need a cheap and ugly wart on my hand, although it does hold 25 rounds. And no I do not need another project gun to try and get running well.
Also, their SBR/Stock for it (in it's "storgage mode") is stupid beyond words and a great lawsuit waiting to happen. Ahem...

Re: Who will be the first to Zip it?
Yes, never like hand out front like the supid Walther, this gun has stupid everywhere!
Always wanted a small pistol that take 10/22 mags, The Intratec Tec-22 Scorpion disappoint also.
Hoping they get the bugs out of the Zap and someone shows one working with a can.

Re: Who will be the first to Zip it?
Ugh! Who did the designers have in mind as a customer base for these things? Klingons?
Re: Who will be the first to Zip it?
I spent literally 2 minutes looking at it and wondering "How do I hold it?" It's true ^^ that it looks like an alien weapon.
I have a TEC-22 that I haven't fired in 20 years, but I distinctly remember it running just fine. I stopped taking it to the range because idiots always were making fun of it. I was young then and too timid to tell them to F--k off and MYOB.
The TEC-22 is threaded, but it's not 1/2 x 28. I need to make or find an adapter and get it going again.
