Video of Ron Dishop Silencers
Hello everyone I have posted a video of my 22lr cans on a SW MP22 and on a SW M&P15-22 on YouTube .
At the begging of the video I said 22 suppers instead of 22 High velocity my bad.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
Thanks
Ron

Why are you not anodizing the tube and core?

I don’t have the equipment to anodizing; I haven’t been able to locate anyone that does anodizing that has an FFL with a SOT.Bendersquint wrote:Why are you not anodizing the tube and core?
I make only 22 lr suppressors some are manufactured using aluminum and some are stainless steel, the aluminum suppressors are sold with a onetime free baffle replacement.
As seen in the video my suppressors are just as quit or quilter than some of the high dollar suppressors on the market today , the next video will have a sound meter next to the business end of the suppressor.
I make a suppressor that does exactly what it is intended to do; quit the report down and be very affordable to the consumer.

Not after the market I only make 49 suppressors a year.66427vette wrote:Hard to beat huntertown arms if going after the cheap 22 market.
As for Huntertown Arms they do make a very good suppressor in fact I have their Kestrel 5.56 on my AR-15 / 5.56 cal full auto 7” barrel SBR truck gun.
Only bad thing I can say about Huntertown is that they only make a few different calibrators of suppressors, but the ones they make are very good , I am not saying this because I am a dealer for them I am also a dealer for YHM , AWS , X-Caliber and Gemtech .

I only believe a silencer manufacturer is legit when a dog is barking the background, but cool stuff.

But I do test fire my suppressors at Obama targets ; does that count as being legit?

Why do you make only 49 a year, seems like a very odd number?Ron Dishop Silencers wrote:Not after the market I only make 49 suppressors a year.66427vette wrote:Hard to beat huntertown arms if going after the cheap 22 market.

Re: Video of Ron Dishop Silencers
There is a 11 percent Federal Firearms and Ammunition Excise Tax (FAET) on the 50th one onward, that why I only make 49 SBRs , SBSs and suppressors a year , I feel if big brother want money let them make their own and sell them or get a real job; I am tired of supporting Obama’s illegal’s.Bendersquint wrote:Why do you make only 49 a year, seems like a very odd number?Ron Dishop Silencers wrote:Not after the market I only make 49 suppressors a year.66427vette wrote:Hard to beat huntertown arms if going after the cheap 22 market.
Correction on the suppressors , while I was writing this replay I was on the phone with department of treasury and was informed that there was no tax on suppressors only on firearms and ammunition I was under the oppression that suppressors were taxable along with firearms and ammunition.

Your silencer video was loud enough to hurt my ears, so I turned down the volume control on my PC until it was quieter than any silencer I ever heard before. Quite amazing.
NFA shooters blow their load with only one pull of the trigger.

Was it the voice ?David Hineline wrote:Your silencer video was loud enough to hurt my ears, so I turned down the volume control on my PC until it was quieter than any silencer I ever heard before. Quite amazing.
When I made it I had the camera up to my eye and was talking into the camera the next one I'll mount the camera on a tripod and stand 5-6 feet away and put a with a sound meter about a foot away from muzzel.

I would recommend using mil-std for sound testing for credibility around hereRon Dishop Silencers wrote:Was it the voice ?David Hineline wrote:Your silencer video was loud enough to hurt my ears, so I turned down the volume control on my PC until it was quieter than any silencer I ever heard before. Short note to say I have removed the video from you tube and that I will be replacing it with a better one as soon as I can.
Also I would like to say thanks to Matt for the priceless advice.

Under the heading of '... as he steps out of his time machine' here is a fun informational
article of an oldie-but-goodie .22 air pistol: Pre-War ( WW II ) Webley Senior.
I also picked mine up in 1960's and for indoor practice it is 'Hollywood' quiet.
It actually balances like a .45.

In the UK there was a shooter who attached a Parker-Hale onto it. All you saw was the
slight smoke from the oil used to lubricate the massive piston.
p.s., for those who are ever fortunate enough to snag one in .22 you can use modern .22 pellets
if you drill .225 hole in a metal block to the depth of .9 the height of the pellet. Then a small grommet setting
punch in pushed in to expand the skirt. Tedious but much easier than the old days pouring lead to make
musket balls -- but missing the smell of black powder at the range.
