There aren't enough public stories of legally armed citizens stopping crime, and I feel this is an important need in the current crisis. Here's my story about using my pistol to stop an armed carjacker.

Thanks for sharing your story! I also like the other videos that you have created, thanks for spreading the good word.
"If you are mad as hell and aren't going to take it anymore, grab your rifle and head outside.
If you're the only dumbass with a rifle screaming like a maniac, go back inside. It isn't time yet."

Good story, thanks for the video!
You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time...and those are pretty good odds.

Re: My Gun Saved My Life!
you're good people (dads favorite saying) in my book. honestly I cant say I shoulda/woulda/coulda done anything better or worse.
no one ever wants to pull the trigger or sink the knife, but as simle as the situation is at hand, you do what you have to do.
as weird as it may seem, more times than not, you dont have to pull the trigger or sink the knife. but that moment right after your brain did "all the math" and its screaming for you to do something, dont dare hesitate.
had to pull a really big 10 inch hunting knife on a pissed off drunken distant-uncle once. he'd come home bitching and moaning and I managed to say something that pissed him off enough to clear a 20 foot distance into my room, tossed my bed out of the way to get to me. felt like 2 years to spin around and grab my knife that was behind me. I spun back around and he stopped dead in his tracks. to cut some time and detail out, he called the cops on me, I talked to the cops and explained everything in better detail than I have here. his ass got escorted out pdq.
sometimes not doing it saves your life in a different way.

Re: My Gun Saved My Life!
My gun saved my life in Detroit. I had just delivered my load and had bob-tailed down to a little city park that had a stream running through it. I bought a one day fishing license online and was just passing the time. I didn't bring my 1911 with me because my wife was in the truck. I was depending on her as my overwarch. She got bored and walked down to where I was fishing.
A guy who had been in the park sees her walking to me and he changes his position. Moving his car between me and my truck. As I see him move, I roll up real quick and turn my wife around and head her back toward the truck. She didn't comprehend what was happening. I made it past the guy and his car before he could get out in front of me.
I whispered to my wife to scoot to the truck and hand me my 45 when I got there. She goes ahead and I slow my pace to allow her time to get there. The guy sees us split up and that's not what he wanted to see. So he attempts to engage me in talking while jockeying for position. I kinda slow rolled him and never really broke stride until I was getting into the already open truck door. It was obvious that he wanted to get both my wife and me in front of him so he could make his move.
Now don't get me wrong, he could have been a pimp a panhandlers or a drug dealer. He could have been anything and he was definitely up to something.
When I slipped into the truck seat I turned to face him and held my right hand behind my back and quietly snappped my fingers. My wife slipped the Springfield right into my open hand.
As he closed the gap he started talking louder. trying to draw my attention but I was watching his hands. When he slipped his right hand into his pocket to make his move. I pulled the hammer back. He heard it and stopped. He then looked into my eyes and he could see that I was aware of what he was trying to doand he realized that he had lost the upper hand.
He said," I can see that you're busy have a good day." He turned and walked away, got into his car and drove off without looking back.
Do I think he was up to no good, yes. Was he armed, Yes. Did my gun stop him cold, Yes. So I believe that my gun saved my life.
