Troubleshooting Gen4 Glock17 / Lone Wolf barrel /Osprey 9MM

Post by tomneal »

I am troubleshooting my Osprey 9 MM installed on a Gen 4 Glock 17 with a Lone Wolf threaded barrel.
Reloads: 147 grain Montana Gold, Universal Clays, 125~130 Power Factor.

The gun functions fine without the suppressor, but when the suppressor is added, the slide hangs a bit before seating the next round. Double tap split times are in the .20 second range without the suppressor and in the .70 second range with the suppressor. The G17 has less than 500 rounds and the Osprey is under 200. This is my 2nd suppressor but it is my first centerfire suppressor.

I am stumped, Do I need to clean and oil the Glock, Osprey, change my powder, add more powder or less powder, change recoil springs?

Any clues on how to proceed?

Powder isn't creating enough snap to get the booster cycling at optimum speed.

My Trident didn't affect the split times on my P226 9mm.

I was using Titegroup powder or Win231.

Same thing on my Sig P220 in 45ACP.

Thanks
I'll up the powder charge a bit and retest.

More powder worked.

Ok
I did add some grease to the Nielson device and a drop or two of oil to the G17.

Thanks to those that helped.
