Screw you Disney World

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

Screw you Disney World

Post by Fireman1291 »

Your wifi sucks and your security is piss fucking poor. Which is why I MUST carry the 340pd I currently have concealed to provide proper protection for my family in this terrorist wet dream hot spot.

Wow.....that blows. But bet your ass that they'd allow you to visit all kinds of illegal websites like underage porn, etc. The sick s--t they should actually be blocking is probably on their favorites website list.

I've heard Disney is pretty fun (even for adults)? Aside from the asinine website block, did y'all have fun??? I've been wanting to take the kids there before they get too old and the "magic" is lost.

The kids don't need to know what kind of scuzzy looking people are underneath and behind all that magic. And hey, they're working and honest job. Gotta give the magic makers that much. Hell, lookin at that costume makes working a construction job in 100 degree heat look easy. I wouldn't wanna be in that git-up in the heat of summer having to pretend that I like all those snot nosed kids that wanna take pictures and pull on my tail.

If you like large people dripping with sweat, standing in line, and listening to parents argue and kids whine, then it is great. I can say this with authority because I too have been subjected to this special slice of hell by my wife. I am large and sweat when it is warm and I hate being close to other people whose hygiene isn't as much of a priority as it is to me.

That being said, the kids will love it and memories will be made. You and your wallet may not enjoy it so much. Just don't plan on any new toys the year you take this trip.

They bill it as the happiest place on earth. For me, closer to the crappiest. I prefer the mountains.

I'd prefer the mountains too....BY FAR! But if the kids love it then I can endure all the sweat and bad hygiene in the world. I've been places that make big guys (I'm a big sweaty one too) with way worse hygiene than us look like an evening in a 5 star restaurant. I've been taking a nice hunting trip each year so I can always skip the hunting trip if I have the want for more toys that year anyway....although I hope I'm done buying for a little while. I gotta get back into save mode!

Fireman, I personally have never supported such a MICKEY MOUSE
politically-'corrupt' organization that has such a prissy and GOOFY
organizational philosophy that makes a virtue of forcing grown men to
stand in lines even to get to a bathroom
while limiting what you can access. :)

But Orlando compensates by having the Randall Knife shop.

At least did you have fun otherwise?

A while ago I read the book "Team Rodent: How Disney Devours the World" by a Miami Herald journalist:

Doesn't exactly increase my already low desire to go there.

As I mentioned elsewhere, some people seem to live in a "fantasyland" where they deny the very existence of guns, therefore they must be safe, right?

I just got back late last night from taking the kids to Disney World. A day before we got there a guy who was carrying lost his gun on a ride and it clattered to the ground. You can imagine how that went over with kids everywhere. I guess security stepped it up a little bit because they thoroughly searched all our bags and purses and asked me if I had a concealed weapon on me before they let us in. I will admit I was surprised at how many Muslims were enjoying the park though...

Doesn't surprise me that a gun got through the security check at the gate. The security guards checking bags are more of a show to prove that they make an effort. I got back last month from a week there with my family. I had a knife clipped to my pocket and they took it at the gate. My fault really since I am able to read the giant sign that states no weapons allowed. I seem to be in the minority here since I thoroughly enjoy my annual trip to Disney World and have no problem with their policies on carrying weapons or filtering internet traffic.

Just like craigslist... you can advertise for a gay threesome with a donkey, but woe unto you if you try to sell a gun

The sign carries no legal ramifications in FL. Yes they can make you leave the park but it's not illegal to carry. My point being....if it was that easy for me to just waltz in there with my pistol IWB (I transfer to a backpack in the first restroom I see so it wont fall out on a ride) then it would be cake for a terrorist to get in with a G19 and 6 G18 mags taped to his torso and go on a kid killing spree.

Not picking on anyone but if your weapon slips from your holster on a Disney ride you have a crappy holster/carry package.
You can get a lot with a smile. But you can get a lot more with a smile and a gun. (Al Capone)
