300-TM Release?

Post by Irishpride »

I was just curious as to when we might see this can. I just bought the new Ruger scout and thought the 300-TM would be perfect for it. If not I will go with the Cyclone. Either way I know I can't go wrong using either. just wanted to cut down on weight as much as possible being a scout rifle. Thanks

300-TM's will ship in July (sooner I hope)

No one has them yet. Been checking around online for months, as this is my next (and probably last, thanks to insane wait times) dedicated rifle can.

My dealer has had one on order for me since April of 2012...

In April 2013 they ordered me a Titan Ti to possibly take the place of the 300-tm. I am curious to see which one will arrive first.

Had the same train of thought. But for the extra cost (basically 2 tax stamps)...and the chances of me enjoying the 338 calibers in the future... probably not worth it for me.

On a technical note, is the Titan-Ti made the same way as the 300-TM? Just a single monolithic Ti block?

I thought about it the other way, the potential use on larger calipers is a bonus. The added weight and cost kind of stink, but it would be going on a bolt action rifle anyway so it won't be too bad. Which ever one arrives first is the one I will get, either way I will be happy. :-)

Hopefully soon...

Ive been looking for availability on these for a few weeks now, haven't found any in stock in my area or with the usual distributors. On the fence as I like the concept, but I can get a receipt and a form 4 sent in on a TBAC thread mount can right now. Are these indeed shipping to dealers already?

Can you tell us more about the 300-TM?
More on how it compares to the Cyclone, Thunderbeast cans, and/or other cans.
Is it just a Ti version of the Cyclone?

I'm looking for a Ti can that can do double duty for .308 (preferably work on 300 Win Mag) and 300 Blackout with weight and quietness as deciding factors.

I went with the Cyclone over the 762-SDN-6 due to being a little quieter and not that much longer.
I'm thinking the 300-TM would work excellent on full power Blackout.

My understanding of the 300-TM is that it is basically a shrunk-down Titan. It has a monolithic baffle stack rather than the fluted cones of the Cyclone and similar cans.

Is there even a sliver of hope that the 300-TM will be widely distributed before any of the new Trust regulations go into effect?? We're talking 3 months or less now.

The 300 TM is rated for 300 Win Mag, so it'll work perfectly. If MT ever allows hunting big game with a suppressor I'll be set.

Out of the blue my dealer called me that a can had arrived for me... A 300-tm! I cant get over there until Wednesday, but pics to follow as proof of life. I get the paperwork in and with the current wait times, I will be about 2 years from order to in hand... but it will totally be worth it!

False alarm. Sorry to get everyone's hopes up, it was actually the Titan-Ti that we ordered as a replacement back in April/May. So, I will be getting the Titan-Ti and not the 300-tm. It will be a good alternative, best of luck to those who are waiting for the 300-tm. Sorry again...

Any further updates from AAC? Not that it matters any more.

Very disappointing that the 300-TM wasn't released before the proposed Trust changes and gov't shutdown fiascos.

Well, before the latest Gov't antics, I talked to Cade and he said November. I'm sure the stack of forms awaiting the NFA branch when they return to work will add far more than 3 weeks worth of waiting. Hopefully something shows up by February. I wish I'd have gone with the Specwar 7.62 when my dealer had them instead of being my usual stubborn self and deciding to wait it out.

Bump...

I told my dealer to order me a 300-TM for a new bolt-action rifle build in 300 WSM. Is the 300-TM actually shipping? If not, how about the MK13-SD?

My dealer has 2 MK13-SD's in stock. Beautiful piece. If I didn't already own a Cyclone and a SOCOM 762RC I would have put down the cash for it.

The first 300-TMs are pending Form 3 approval. With current wait times, they will begin shipping early 2014.
