Yes the rule change will happen, when they will go into affect? NOONE knows.Ethos wrote:do you think the rule changes will happen?

There has been zero talk about a grandfather clause as well. They may or may not grandfather all current processing applications.
Again, NOONE knows, not even the ATF!
Re: rule changes
this stinks, i am thinking about doing a few more form 1's really quick and getting them in, i hopes of being able to own a can or two just in case we are grandfathered in
there is no hope of getting cleo sign offs around here

Noone knows when it will go in affect but I would personally have them in before the rule comment period ends.

It will kill alot of NFA sales, not just cans.Ethos wrote:that sucks big time, i think it will kill a lot of silencer sales

I foresee it being overturned or converted to CLEO notification in the future though.

Send them all in in the very same package and you can include one check, one trust and one citizenship form.Ethos wrote:so i am getting ready to send in 3 form 1's on monday

Re: rule changes
The other option is that states will pass "shall-sign" laws requiring LEOs to sign.
I think it's just going to be an inconvenience in the short term. There are others besides CLEOs who can sign. I think those in elected positions can play this off on one another politically- at least in Republican areas. I think it's doom for NFA stuff in CT, MA, and other heavily Democrat states.
