I have copper wire that can be cut into tiny pieces, like the ss pins used to tumble brass cases.
However, the cut wire will have burrs or ends that feel sharp. Will these "sharp" cut wire pins harm anodized aluminum baffles?
It would be a wet tumble procedure for baffle cleaning where the copper pieces are used.
Thanks.

My gut says you are OK, but...
Tumble something else first. Find some scrap anodized aluminum, or anything else that will take the edge off of the wires. After a few hours, the Cu burr will be gone. Then try one baffle and see what happens.

As Baffled said....those points will be gone after tumbling for a while.
Re: cleaning baffles with copper wire
These are good points, I will do preliminary tumble of wire. I also thought of tumble with spent 22 lr cases, they do not have sharp edges, but they are bigger than snips of wire.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: cleaning baffles with copper wire
I wet tumbled my anodized AL baffles with a small amount of copper wire, about two ounces. The tumble solution of water and Dawn soap removes carbon and softens remaining carbon. The remaining carbon scapped off with a plastic tool.

Come on! We need pics! Please
Re: cleaning baffles with copper wire
Try these before and after of 50 rounds of Remington subsonic... there is a little lithium grease on the baffles in the after... makes slide back in tube easier.
