9 cylinder radial engine from bar stock:

Donated the head design, which is unique, to the model engineering community.

The first functioning model turboprop in the Western Hemisphere:

Designed the digital fuel control system. Donated the source code and schematics to the community.

Miniature .22LR belt fed machine gun, unique.


My tool and cutter grinder from some scrap aluminum I had lying around:

I'm not a engineer but a machinist that returned to school to get a degree in gunsmithing.
This I built for a customer its a 5.56 wet suppressor.

This is my slot baffle or face of a high pressure baffle.Used with much success in up to 50BMG class rifles.

A customer wished a everything can .22LR 5.56 243 270 300BLK .308 I made multiple threaded mounts to accommodate the various rifles.It comes apart for cleaning as well.

Though very simple this is a steam engine it has but three moving parts and runs at over 12,000 rpm.I made it as a apprentice machinist.

There is not a lot of visual porn with my truly professional creations. I am a compounding pharmacist and there is actually some art that goes with the science, it just not as visually stimulating as something machined. I'm consistently inventing things here that may have never been done, and am very proud of that.

This is my laboratory where the truly mad science happens!

My usual line of work involves maximizing both the quantity and quality of sound from a source, this source being strings of various sizes. Primarily doublebass strings, but violin, viola and 'cello strings as well. So perhaps it's a bit ironic that I happen to find suppressing sound fascinating... but two sides of the same coin I suppose. This is a bass I made and sold a few years ago. Working on another as a commission now.

nice piece. is Wren Turbines Ltd a chinese company? did you use the Mark 2 kit or did you build that too from scratch?

Well I have nothing even slightly as cool as any of the above creations, but I made this years and years ago when I got my first Bouncing job. It's a brass and iron knuckleduster that I tried to get an ancient/Roman vibe from, and yes, it has some violence attached to it.

BTW, it is long retired from any drama... just like myself.

Very nice stuff posted so far!

My latest is a shameless copy of Tom Lipton's (Oxtools on YouTube) mini pallet system. Just finished it today - should be very handy. The actual pallet is 6"x8"x2.5" aluminum with 75 10-32 tapped holes on 1" centers. Fits in the mill vise. Made a quick jig to speed up beveling the nose of the clamps.

The last two pics are a junker Ruger barrel clamped just to show concept.

These are just some snap shots with some people in the pics, but this is a public sculpture I did with a friend of mine in Columbia MO. About 1300 pounds of bronze if I remember correctly. Took us about a year from clay model to finished bronze.

I hope others can appreciate the extent of your skills and design sense,
such as in the 'wire wrap' handle,
the perfect balance between the handle, guard, blade, etc.

In particular the underplayed 'broad blade', classic.

You might find images of the late Tom Clinton knives
intriguing. [ e.g., Mine with desert ironwood handle. ]
