Hello,
i am from Germany and new in the Forum.
A member of this Forum asked me by PM to post my build here.
Bitte schön.
The Rifle is registered and proofshot by german government.
Was a lot of work to make her work. I tried to go, as close to OEM, as possible (for me)

Good job! How does it sound?
Re: De Lisle Carbine
To be honest, i did expect less noise.Bendersquint wrote:Good job! How does it sound?
Sound is a bit more quied like .22short. Good Thing is you dont need Hearing protecton, even in closed rooms.
wet is ok for the first shot, then it stayes at that Sound level.

Re: De Lisle Carbine
Thank you very much for making the post.I hope you share your talents with us in the future. You have a very handsome build that you must take pride in.I bet it's lots of fun to shoot!
The only reason after 243 years the government now wants to disarm you is they intend to do something you would shoot them for!

Re: De Lisle Carbine
Artful
the Barrel is ported. the portings are covered by a tubing.
The Sound: I did made a Video and it sounds simular to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsUALdGog4U , but only on the Video.
It is the Sound limiter in the camera that make it Sound like this!!!!!
So i dont think, it is realy the true Sound of the rifle in the video.
The Sound of the rifle is more like a mix between .22short and a high pressure air rifle.
All i can say is, the Impact of the bullet in the sand at 25m, is louder then the shot.

The YouTube was enjoyable.
There has been at least one .45 suppressed rifle
built in 1960's on a Springfield bolt action. Can was threaded on
as opposed to the full barrel coverage of the innovative
De Lisle Carbine. Equally as quiet. Dimensions if memory
serves ( ... today even with rise in minimum wage the
quality of service is becoming questionable ) ~1.25" x 8"; bronze ships washers with
bronze separators.
Best.
