Interchangeable endcap for a smaller opening, why didn't i think of that lol.
Guess it's not considered a silencer part because of how the Saker is manufactured.
Now I wanna get a Tirant 9 endcap for my Tirant 45...if it's even possible.

Re: Interesting Saker cal and cap test.
I doubt that will work, as the end cap on the TiRant holds the baffles in, therefore it is a required silencer part.
IIRC, the Saker's baffles don't rely on the end cap for retention, so the cap is an accessory.
Pretty good idea, I must say...

Yeah the cap idea was another thinking outside the box ( like killing the ring in a flash hider)
Just don't forget to swap it back.
Makes me want a 308 Saker If I can get it with 51t mount and not pay a crazy $300 extra! But if the 308 comes with a brake only so don't know if you get the option. And there's that little thing about killing SWR that makes me want to avoid them altogether!
Still thumbs up for out boxing.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Emelio has sticky SWR posters.

You are awesome Emilio!
If it makes you feel any better, I did all the baffle development design and testing on the Saker 762. So SWR is not totally gone. It has just infiltrated all of the new Silencerco designs.

Hey Henry,
I noticed that the 762 Saker is also rated down to 7" on a 556 but it doesnt have the Hoplon blast baffle. Is the Hoplon blast baffle on the 556 Saker really needed?

Re: Interesting Saker cal and cap test.
The Hoplon shines on a short 5.56mm. I would classify that as 11.5" and less. If you intend to primarily use the suppressor on short 5.56 then I would recommend the Hoplon in the Saker 556.
The Saker 762 has a couple of features which compensate for the lack of a Hoplon.
The 7.62 baffle is 45% thicker on the blast face than the 5.56 baffle.
The 7.62 aperture naturally mitigates the worst erosion since the inside face of the baffle that would otherwise be eroded is non existent on the larger aperture baffle.

The 3rd shot on the .308 test was 3db louder than the first round . . .

Did you really help with the Saker 308 or are you pulling my legs? I'm stuck with a bunch of 51t mounts so the awesome Specwar would cost more in the end. ( still might anyway )
I would like to hear What YOU think of the retirement of the SWR name and the reasoning behind . ( In a PM / private) KC the customer service guy has too much starch in the shorts and gave me the politicians answer on the Other thread.
Everything was soooo hush hush, no announcement and very sudden, web site vanished over night. Very traumatizing for true SWR fans. It's like "Babe Ruth" was traded and changed to "Sugar baby's".
Thanks, Emilio ( who prepares for war THEN offers piece)
