ATF continued.......

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Just got off the phone with the NFA Branch and was told eForms are running 6 months, I had sent mine in Feb. 26th. Man they sure have a weird way of doing things up there.

Oh my those ARE fast!

Is remindful of 1987 when a Form 4 for a belt fed 308 took 40 days from my signature on the form to approval!

Have a rifle cans in NFA jail now ... and as the forms were sent in in February ... I don't expect to see approval before October ...

... sigh ...

Was your form paper or was eFile still working for Form 4s when you did this one? 7 months is pretty fast for paper. Has anyone else gotten a paper Form 1 or Form 4 back recently that was faster than 10 months?

Yes, see my post above I sent one in right around the same time and got it back just a few days after whispershot. Turnarounds do appear to be improving.

Awesome! Anyone else? I have a Form 4 i mailed middle of June 2014, so I'm hoping the return times for paper forms are going to keep getting shorter just like the eForms. :D
