Hi guys, Qasim here from Kashmir. I am newbie here. For the first time i am building my own silencer using lathe. I will use silencer on my Beretta 92fs.
The design of the silencer is the one with blast chamber and k-baffles.
Here are the details i want to know from Pros.
a) The total length of the silencer.
b) The total outside and inside diameter of the silencer.
c) The total length and width of k-baffle.
d) The total number of k-baffles i should use.
e) The total length of blast chamber.
f) The diameter of the hole of k-baffle and end cap for 9mm caliber .
I will highly appreciate any other information and guidance
Sorry for my bad English (it isn't my mother tongue) :p

Me too bud.
I'm sure you can find all your answers just looking around a little bit.

Re: Exact measurements for making a 9mm silencer
11.00 long ,2.00 OD, 1.75 ID, BLAST CHAMBER 3.75, K length 1.25, qty of K's 4, width of K 1.73 "roughly" make to fit inside of tube. Bore anywhere from .400 to .420... All joking aside look for the thread where it lists the complete builds. Plenty of stuff there to duplicate. Seeing as English is as good as most American teens these days here's links:

I have only one question,
ARE THEY LEGAL TO BUILD OR POSES IN YOUR COUNTRY?

I think it is too bulky :p
Guys What you say about these dimensions:
8" long, 1.375" outside, k length 1", k width = inside diameter of tube, qty of K's at least 5.

Re: Exact measurements for making a 9mm silencer
Those outside dimensions (1.375x8) are pretty much exactly the industry standard for 9mm, so that's a good place to start. The proper length of a baffle is a function of its diameter and its design. I think you'll find a well designed K in a can that size will end up somewhat less than an inch long.

Go to the following Link and click on the second Pic. There you can grab some dimensions for a 9 mm K-Baffle:
http://www.silencer-plans.com/shop/view ... ductid=159
Using something like that, you should end up with a +-9 inches long Can, 7-8 K's and a Recoil Booster. Those use 60 degrees but one can stack more (or make the Can shorter) if going wider.
Best,
Paul

From the back of the room, a little Oliver Twist ( 8 per inch? ) voice
chimes in " ... have you considered a Beretta Px4 Storm Full Size .45 ACP Pistol, Sir?"
.45 subsonic; superior to 9mm, especially when being bum rushed by 300 pound
mountain of flesh not effected by multiple 9mms.
Unless you have already committed to the 9mm and just want to make holes in paper.

Paul, nice of you to try to help him, It's a place to start.
I do think these would work but its not hard to outperform your K's with just a little change here and there.
Less weight, change and ad some angles, stronger and better performing.
But thats just me, thinking out loud.
All depending one's machining capability's of course.

Re: Exact measurements for making a 9mm silencer
Sure, anyone can outperform this one; me too but getting into more complex/risky machining.
This one is just one of the best you can have while still being in the "easy" side of the build (ie. porting is made using jigs and standard ball end mills, taps and shoulders are designed to turn the final OD with the stack easily assembled, inner cone is suitable for a standard countersink, ...).
Sometimes, one can get lost looking for perfection while ignoring it's limitations.

Paul
