Not full size...short action, 308/243 sized. You're not going to see many companies down size an action shorter than that. I don't really see a problem with a short action 223/300.

A matter of taste I guess, personally I find my Vixen superbly elegant. Not only does it make for a slightly more compact action, it also looks better. But as you say, not many make such rifles. There's the CZ 527 and the vintage Sako Vixen, Zastava makes a mini-mauser and now S&L Legacy.

I have the Zastava Mini Mauser and can recommend it,but that won't stop me from buying the Ruger.If this is as great as the 77/44 model they will have another winner.I do like the Remington but they need alot of work to make them as good as most Rugers.

A 300bo bolt repeater with optic and suppresser can finally be UNDER 8 lbs.

So who makes Ti-rant 45 piston in 5/8x24?

I have a 300BO Remington 700 and love the round. Bought a Timney trigger due to the long wait on the recall dealing with sending my gun back to Remington for their fix (6 months). The only practical way to go is reloading 300 BO as factory ammo is pricy.

I'm curious about the trigger on the Ruger pictured. Is that a set trigger of sorts?

If, and or when I get mine, a 1-4 Optic is going on it. I have an order in with our local FFL, he can't complete the order until it is in stock with his supplier, so who knows when it'll go through. I will bug him every couple of weeks so he doesn't forget out me.

Now for a decent, but affordable 1-4 optic to go on it.
