jesse james new can, 10db quieter than the best?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

He was tied up.
His suppressor likely fell off the desk and is stuck between his time travel machine and the other machine that turns straw into gold.

:D
+2!!!

Your succinct imagery and cleverly stated appraisal is worthy of George Carlin.

Oops! Have to go, the March Hare* is going to show me his 105 Db. metered
suppressor for my .50 Barrett. :)

Best.

Ahhh, I see.

Lets think about that, that would be the Beer keg can right?
Or is it the oil drum can, as I do think Mister J J might still have some of his Bike building carrier.

Yup that's right! JJFU has officially backed out after he was asked to do a demo with his can. Brent Taylor of Liberty Suppressors was truly curious and planned to use a calibrated milspec dB meter (as seen in my videos with them)

This agreement went down at SHOT Show when Brent stopped by their booth. I was going to hop on a plane and meet Brent in Austin TX to film the event as a 3rd party.

After several email exchanges between JJFU and Liberty Suppressors it became apparent JJFU was better at making up excuses than designing suppressors. He finally backed out.

Listen I don't hate anyone or have anything against the man. He's a great welder and fabricator. But you just can't jump in the ring and turn your nose on the NFA community when called out for such outlandish claims.

We all would have happily eaten crow to get a 78dB 5.56mm rifle can in our safes. Trust me, however, we all knew damn well it's just not possible when the BCG loading a live round is 112dB. Not to mention 22lr cans don't even come close to that level.

I would have still respected the man had he just tested his can, gave out the truth and apologized to the community for making false claims about his suppressors abilities. As nothing pisses me off more than someone scamming newcomers who wouldn't know any better.

So now we can all put this bullshit behind us as we all know the truth. I applaud Brent and the rest of the community for not backing down.

I've read all the email correspondence between the two and Brent conducted himself in a professional and non attacking way. He just wanted his curiosity laid to rest.

I'll continue to spend my money with manufactures who value their customers. Companies that test their products by the set standards and stand by them 100%.

Thanks,

i love how he said he admits he lied about the DB rating but than continues his claims by saying its actually way lower...

I think most were very surprised at the thought and science behind it. I totally lied about the decibel rating...Its actually way lower.. www.JJFU.com #jessejames #madeintexas #Pro2nd" -JJFU Instagram

As of this moment, the JJFU website has no mention of SPL.
Keep calm, and suppress on

The only reason I even bothered saying anything to him is because I actually had customers asking me why my 30cal suppressor is rated at 135db on a 12" Ar 5.56 if his were 78db. I don't care if someone's suppressor is quieter than ours but that was just ridiculous to try to explain to people that don't know a lot about suppressors.
