Flat-wire recoil spring in 45 ACP 1911 with octane silencer, will this work? Has anyone tried it?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Wilson has a standard plug size kit that can come with difrent weight springs. They have a 15# and 17#, 20# weights. Maybe 15 or 17? I will be using 230 jacked 700x and or tight group with federal match large pistol primers. Has any tried these springs with a 1911 45 ACP using a full sized can?

I have found no need for spring kits and I DO use the Octane . I just use a 18lbs wolf springs for HV carry loads and suppressed. Works perfect and simple.

Mine works fine with an 18lb spring and Octane.
