Spectre II question

Post by u52 »

I am looking for another rimfire suppressor and today found out that my local dealer has a Spectre II in stock. I don't know a lot about Silencerco/ SWR but was wondering if someone could help on this one. The Spectre II has "Silencerco" on the can and not "SWR", so is this an old model unit? It does have the stainless baffles that snap together and looks the same otherwise. I have a chance to own the unit for a very good price. It is between the Spectre II and an AAC Element 2 (which is not in stock anyway). Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

SilencerCo bought up SWR, so it is a new unit. Spectre II has "Click Together Assembly" for the baffles. I have a Sparrow SS and a Spectre II and the latter is my favorite, and "go-to" rimfire can. If you can get one for a good price, go for it, and have no fear, it is an excellent can.

Thanks for the info. I am glad to hear that it is a new unit, makes it even more enticing. It is betweeen the Spectre II and an AAC Element 2. I have an AAC collection but really like the specs on the Spectre II. Price is what I consider "crazy not to buy it" and it is ready to throw on my form 4. I think I am going to be a SWR customer very soon!! 8) Thanks again!

I have a Stainless Sparrow, Spectre II and a local custom made one. The Spectre II is wonderful. You won't regret buying it.
