SWR Omega material?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

SWR Omega material?

Post by Ratbat »

A friend has a SWR Omega suppressor for .22 cal. It's a sealed can so we were wondering what the material used to make it. We were planning on using an ultrasonic cleaner, but concerned about damage if it's made of aluminum. Anyone know what the baffles and tube are made of?
Thanks

Outer tube is Ti. Baffles are steel.

Your can is made from aluminum. It is NOT made with any titanium or stainless.

I concur.

The blast baffle "may" be stainless.

Thanks for the information. My friend is going to try and have it opened and a new core installed.

Hope your friend is an 07/02. Make sure he gets the threads right, I don't need another SWR can in for repair from botched jobs.
