Here's some pics of the new Rachet Lock by Oceania Defence Ltd ( ODL ) , they are looking at having their cans made in the USA as well as here in New Zealand , they are 3D printed out of either high grade TI or Inconel .
The can slips on to the flash hider , turns approx 1.5-2 turns then you click the collar to align the 2 arrow marks and its done , very simple & elegant design .

Any possibility of a short video showing the lockup?
Looks interesting.

I have enough trouble with pics , let alone Vid , anyway , its very simple , in the pic if you look at the bottom collar , its rotates from the posn shown ( unlocked ) , to both the little arrow marks lining up with each other ( locked ) , slip the can onto the mount with the collar in the unlocked posn as in the pic , rotate the can a couple of turns on the thread until it stops , then click the collar to the closed posn ( with both marks lined up ) , and its done , its very easy .
It has 2 tab/paws , approx 180 degrees apart , the tabs are either open or closed , in the open posn , they do not click over the teeth at all , they are totally out of the way , only come near the teeth when it is clicked closed .
The flash hider/brake is made from 15-5 SS , 3D printed at the moment , can is either TI or SS Inconel , depends on what it is used for .
This is the 7.62mm model , the 5.56mm model is a bit shorter .

Facebook page with a few vids and stills.RPM509 wrote:Any possibility of a short video showing the lockup?

The vids on facebook were the original prototype. The production model is far slicker in operation with positive tactile locking of the ring in open and closed position.
I will do a proper video in the next few weeks instead of the phone video.
Thanks for the interest.
