SBR Form 1 Reached ATF on 14th

Post by nxs450 »

Filled out and sent form1 SBR build on the 8th. USPS tracking showed it in Atlanta for 4 days and delivered on the 14th. Will it be okay since it was post marked on the 8th?

Yes, you should fine. The ATF has said that anything post marked 7/12 or before, will be examined under the old rules, even if it didn'the get delivered until after the 13th.
That's what they have written. We'll see if that's what happens.

Thanks I hope it is accepted, I read somewhere that "pending" forms will be accepted and was not sure what the qualifier for a pending form is.

I read posts on the "pending" requirement too. However, when the ATF e-file crashed on July 11th, the error message ATF posted indicated postmarks on the 12th or earlier would be honored. Fingers crossed ...

They cashed your check, means they cashed your check. Doesnt mean anything except they got your application, only time will tell if its pre or post 41f..

I haven't heard from ATF or received my stamp yet. Anyone know what wait times are on SBR forms?

I have two SBR form 1s and a silencer form 4 from the second week of July 2016. Still waiting and realistically I don't expect anything for another month since forms were being sent in exponentially increasing numbers right up until the 13th.

In case this helps you guys timing wise, I just got 2 tax stamps (finally!) this past week. One was for an SBR from 6/29/16 and the paper work is stamped approved 3/13/17. The other tax stamp was for a suppressor from 5/5/16 and approved 3/14/17. They both just arrived to me a few days ago.

Sorry, just realized I meant to put this in another post. Oh well, I'll post it there as well.
