MPX silencer options?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

MPX silencer options?

Post by Triton225 »

Looking to get a silencer for my MPX(9mm) and like to have the option to use the silencer for it and a .45 pistol and also a 9mm pistol. I'd like to use a qd mount, but I don't imagine that's a option for this scenario? I really wanted to avoid a specific suppressor for just the MPX. Any suggestions?

Buy a Silencerco Octane 45 with a fixed M13x1.0LH adapter and 9mm end cap.

A lot of our clients are using, plan to use, a Rugged Obsidian. You can get a 3 lug adapter for the MPX and a mount for the Obsidian if you want QD.

I run a Omega9K on my MPX, and also a Ghost-M.

Ghost-M has M13.5x1 fixed mounts out, so you can use that in the short configuration and still get a small can on there that sounds good, and could also be used on a 45 if you wanted. Use caution with a 3 lug on the MPX, long story short I've seen a guy over torque one (not by much) and killed the barrel.

Take a look at our ST45CFP, we can set you up with the removable booster assembly and a 3 lug mount that attaches to the rear also. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=137216

MPX with Octane 9 and proper threaded piston with spacer is almost Hollywood quiet with 158 gr Fiocchi 9mm ammo and is very accurate. A SIG MK25 makes a very nice companion piece ;-)

Well I don't see a easy fix. MPX and 9/45 pistol compatibility.
I'd like a flash hider/ or comp on mpx and a use a silencer with a qd connect on it.

I was thinking of going to a 3 lug on the MPX as I do with a 9mm and a 300 BLK SBR. I contacted TROS and ask if they had a non-catalog 3 lug adapter for the thread on the MPX. They do.

I decided against doing it as I'd like to use the same can on the MPX and the MK25.

Have had no problems at all with the 3 lug on the two SBRs.

Not a solution for the flash hider or muzzle brake on the MPX, but the can is the best available anyway.

The curtis tactical can with the detachable booster and three lug seemed like it's exactly what you're looking for.

Rugged Obsidian with a Rugged 3-Lug mount is almost as short as the Silencerco Omega 9k with the Silencerco 3-Lug mount:

Here is a B&T Three Lug mount from HKParts:

We have made/sold fixed mounts in M13.5x1LH for Tridents, Multimounts, Mystics, Tirants, Octanes, Evos and one more but can't recall which one off the top of my head.

Plenty of options out there.

Well, I'm leaning get towards a silencer co hybrid.
May not be able to have a QD but should have options for multiple Guns this way.
Anyone run a hybrid or know someone with one? Opinions..

I chopped that metric thread off and put a 5/8-24 on it. Using an XCaliber Seafire Diamond with a 3 lug mount. It works pretty good.

I have a hybrid and 3 lug mount for my mpx, I thought it sounded and looked great. I did some metering with it and will have to look up the results otherwise let me know what you want to know and I'll test it and tell you.
